2010 Young Adult Retreat April 30- May 2, 2010 Register Online
The 2010 Young Adult Retreat builds on last year’s theme of Mennonite identity. In 2009 we heard the stories of eight different people, each giving us a unique portrait of how one might live out a contemporary Mennonite identity. This year we hope to delve deeper into understanding the history of how Mennonites came to be and the theological platforms that have helped shape Mennonite life.
As usual, you won’t be bogged down with “things to do.” The main emphases of this retreat are fellowship and relaxation. There will be plenty of time to enjoy coastal mountain wilderness, lounge by the fire, play games, and allow the faith themes to spill over into informal conversation. To save on expenses we will be providing our own food service, which means everyone will need to help out with one meal.
The cost of the retreat is $50 for the whole weekend (Friday evening to Sunday noon). Reduced rates are available if you plan to come for only part of the weekend. This retreat is open to all young adults, defined as at least 18 years old and out of high school up to the early thirties of age. We hope to see you there!
