Energy Project

Drift Creek is committed to reducing diesel dependency.  Thanks to generous donors, 24  batteries were purchased and installed in early 2009.  The next step is to acquire another 24. Together the 48 can support an expanded inverter, which would supply electricity to the entire camp.
The next phase will cost roughly $35,000 for batteries and inverter components. Once the system is installed, we hope to incorporate a micro-hydro charging system (additional $10,000), pending government approval. If  you wish to help DCC operate more efficiently and reduce diesel costs by  $75 a week, please consider contributing to this project. You may mail donations or donate online.
